We went to the movies last night with tissues in hand- ready for a good cry.

Tissues weren’t needed, at least not for the sad. The joy was just too big!

The Peanut Butter Falcon’s message – at least what I got out of it was this:

People with disabilities are NOT their disability- they are SO MUCH MORE.

People with disabilities are people — WITH ABILITIES…… and strengths and weakness.

People with disabilities are people with gifts to share, and people who need help sometimes, to be who they truly are.

People with disabilities are people-  like all of us, who want to be

seen & heard & loved,

AND

taken seriously.

My husband, Curt always says (and means it in the nicest of ways- so that’s the way I take it) that he knows when I’m really enjoying a movie because with just a sideways glance he can see all the smile and laugh lines on my face. Last night was one of those nights!

GO SEE THE MOVIE.
